BONDI RESCUE LIFEGUARD MAY NEVER SURF AGAIN
KOBI GRAHAM has told the media and his friends that he may never get back on the board again.
The main player in the hit TV show BONDI RESCUE, broke his neck while surfing some challenging waves at Cape Solander near Kurnell. The graphic pictures showed Kobi wiped out and getting sucked over with the wave onto the rock platform OUCH! Kobi is having trouble coping with the pain associated with his injuries…not surprising as the wipe out is the biggest seen by shocked onlookers who thought he would not survive.
Kobi’s mate in the TV series, Anthony “Harries” Carroll was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph “Kobi is in a lot of pain, particularly his arms, and he will be in a neck brace for another two months at least”.
BONDI RESCUE LIFEGUARD MAY NEVER SURF AGAIN
On a personal note all his mates are itching to get him back to work and in the water again, but the Bondi Rescue Lifeguard is not certain that he will ever do Life Guard duties again.
On a positive note, Kobi is a survivor and is walking again, and says he has got all feeling again in his limbs.
Two guys to mention in the rescue of Kobi are Billy Morris (who took the point of impact image attached) and Perth Standlick tow in guy, who with life guards did a great job in stabilising Kobi, as any false moves could have rendered more permanent injuries.
It won’t be long before he gets back in a positive role and in front of a camera as his popularity will demand.
Go Kobi!
Check out the photo by Billy Morris and the extended leggie with board at one end, and Kobie attached to the other, in the process of being crunched…ouch!!
