NEW WORLD OF WOMEN’S EUROPEAN SURFING
A new world of Women’s European Surfing will kick ofF on 10-14 July 2010, and thirty two (32) of the Worlds best Women Surfers will compete against each other at Basque on the Biarritz Coast. Competitors are lining up to compete and hopefully topple Jennifer Smith from California, to stake their claim for the Longboard Champion’s title of the World.
The Roxy Jam Biarritz
This event brings with it a new festival atmosphere, creating with that a new world of interest in Women’s Surfing especially Longboarding. Through out the world and Peregian Beach on the Sunshine coast, the interest is growing, and in addition to this, spectators and surfers can enjoy the creativity and lifestyle that Longboarding enjoys through art, and music in the scene.
What a better way to start the event with the sublime skill and poise of the nose riders. It would be sensational if the swell turned on just as it did for the Festival of Surfing, Noosa 2010.
American and French Contingent
America’s Jennifer Smith has some tough competition in that of Australia’s Chelsea Williams, and the Hawaiians of Joy Monahan and Cristal Dzigas, There is also a French contingent to look out for being Coline Menard and Justine Menard who are both runners up and semi-finalists in previous years. Not to forget fellow American Kassia Meador who is also a genuine title chaser, who says she has never been in better shape to contest this years ASP Womens World Longboard Championship.
Womens European Surfing
This championship will open up a whole new world for Womens European Surfing, as people discover what alternative surfing worlds have to offer.
Bring on Cote des Basques, Biarritz France. 10-14 July 2010!
