KELLY SLATER TAKES THE SHINE

But
Young Jadson’s The Star.
It’s 2010 and it’s been a good year so far, and we can all expect great things from the best in the world, Kelly Slater as we move towards the years end.
Greates Surfer Ever
Not with standing, we can all agree that Kelly has been the greatest surfer in the world, in the modern times, but just recently I feel (this is my humble opinion) Kelly displayed some out of water behaviour, that I found a bit surprising, from this man of great surfing stature.
Being fantastic at his sport it seems, does not necessarily follow that he is a good sport, being the nature of his comments when he recently lost to Jadson Andre, in the final of the Brazilian WT event. The comment was “We’ll see if he can match this performance at places like Pipeline and Teahupoo”
Rookie Winner
The performances Jadson has put in this season had to be very good, and it has to be said that he deserves the credit where it’s due, and Kelly should show a bit of respect in defeat, after all, Jadson did defeat Michel, Dane, and Him, on route to winning as a rookie an event in his home nation. Something not to be sneezed at.
Kelly Takes The Shine
The point I’m making is this, Jadson then gets the but end from Kelly, for seemingly no other reason but to take the shine off his victory, which he (Jadson), will remember with glee at the end of his career, when it is all done and said.
Yes, the event wasn’t at the Pipeline or Teahupoo it definitely was in Brazil though, and Kelly, not to put a finer point on it, Jadson WON it, you didn’t.
Young Jadson’s The Star
Young Jadson, it should go without saying, will never be as good as Kelly, but don’t knock the kid while he’s celebrating his most deserving win. In my way of seeing it, young Jadson Andre is the star.
